Print Your Own Rice Paper
Yes you can print your own rice paper and create your own designs. There are so many programs out there to help you learn to do design. Canva is amazing for making your own graphics and Creative Market, Etsy, and Creative Fabrica have wonderful downloadable graphics and ephemera to use in your designs. I use Photoshop Elements to create my papers but you can use any program you have or can afford. Photoshop Elements is a mini version of Photoshop and it is a one time reasonable payment not a monthly charge which really does add up.

I designed this paper from a photo I took of a board and then added different elements and digital stamps. I changed the coloring in effects in my Photoshop Elements Program. Since this post is about printing your own rice paper and not designing paper Let me tell you what I do to print my rice paper. Below are the actual Products I use. I love this rice paper. It works out to be .43 a sheet which is so much cheaper than buying rice paper. This is the actual printer that I have been using for years. I have only had one paper smear and it was very heavy black printed design. If you are afraid of smearing simply spray the paper with a sealer before you use it in your journal.

Simple Steps To Printing Your Own Rice Paper
I use my rice paper in my Art Journals and I have not had any problem with them.

Here is what the layers look like on my Photoshop Elements. My printer is set up for Bluetooth so all I do is press print and I am good to go. Here are the butterflies I printed for another the Art journal page below. Because there is so much black on the butterflies I sprayed them with a sealer before I used them for decoupage. I design paper and print it for Art Journaling. There are some of my designs for sale as downloads HERE

The journal above is still wet when I took the picture so it looks messier than it is. Here is the paper coming through the copier no problem at all!

HI Christine,
No app, I create the designs on PHotoshop Elements and then just print the size of the paper. I let the paper dry really well before I use it for decoupage and as long as there is not a lot of black or very dark colors I never have any smearing.Best to you,
Peggy
