Transition from Winter to Spring Decor

Winter’s cozy charm is great in December, but as the days grow longer, (3 minutes everyday) it’s time to breathe new life into our homes! With the same excitement that is created as we make our homes ready for Winter/Christmas let’s breath a fresh new look into our living spaces! A Transition from winter to spring decor doesn’t require a big budget—just a little creativity and a fresh perspective. By incorporating greenery, natural textures, and simple DIYs, you can refresh your home and welcome the season of renewal.

Here are seven easy, impactful yet affordable ways to bring spring into your space!

1. Bring in Fresh Greenery & Early Spring Blooms

Nothing says “spring” like new growth! Swap out winter greens and dried arrangements for fresh plants and budding branches. One of my favorite things to do is trim those branches from the garden bushes and have flowering branches on the dining table for the first few weeks of spring.

  • Budget Tip: Force branches from your yard (forsythia, cherry, or pussy willow) by placing them in water indoors.
  • DIY Idea: Repurpose glass jars or thrifted vases and decorate them with IOD transfers or jute twine for a French Country touch.

2. Swap Out Heavy Fabrics for Light, Airy Textiles

Say goodbye to chunky knit blankets and dark fabrics—spring calls for breezy cottons and linens.
